BAP to Hold Workshop in India on Antibiotic Control, Residue Testing

Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) is holding a one-day workshop on antibiotic control and residue testing for quality control managers and technicians working in BAP-certified processing plants in India that are capable of offering two-star BAP shrimp and above. Antibiotic control in India has been a key issue raised by the European Union, and BAP is organizing the event to support its certified facilities. Four Stars for India’s Star Agro

Congratulations to India’s Star Agro Marine Exports Pvt. Ltd., the latest company to earn four-star Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) status. Four-star BAP status denotes that a product originates from BAP-certified processing plant, farm, hatchery and feed mill. It’s the highest designation in the BAP third-party certification program. Star Agro earned four-star BAP status upon confirmation that it sources feed from Avanti Feeds Limited, which recently earned BAP re-certification.
