Feed Mill Is First In Indonesia To Earn BAP Certification

Shrimp and finfish companies sourcing from Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP)-certified hatcheries, farms and processing plants can now source feed from the PT Centralpertiwi Bahari (CP Prima) feed mill in Indonesia and be capable of offering four-star BAP product. The feed mill, owned by PT Central Proteinaprima (CP Prima) and located in Lampung province, recently attained BAP certification. It’s Indonesia’s first feed mill to do so. CP Prima’s shrimp hatchery and one of its farms is also BAP certified. Vitapro Is Peru’s First BAP-Certified Feed Mill

Congratulations to Vitapro S.A., Peru’s first feed mill to attain Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) certification. The shrimp feed mill, which attained BAP certification in September, is located in Trujillo, Peru. Vitapro’s Inbalnor S.A. feed mill in Ecuador attained BAP certification in August. Both produce shrimp and fish feed under the Nicovita brand. Currently, there are 15 BAP-certified feed mills in Central and South America. Ecuador’s First Feed Mill Earns BAP Certification

Congratulations to GISIS, Ecuador’s first feed mill to attain Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) certification. It’s also South and Central America’s third feed mill, outside of Chile, to earn the distinction. The shrimp and tilapia feed mill is located in Durán, Ecuador. Shrimp and tilapia companies sourcing from BAP-certified hatcheries, farms and processing plants can now source feed from the GISIS facility and qualify to offer four-star BAP product. First Central American Feed Mills Earn BAP Certification

Congratulations to Cargill. Two of the company’s feed mills, Cargill de Honduras S. de R. L. and Cargill de Nicaragua S.A., recently earned Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) certification. The two feed mills are the first feed mills in Central America as well as Cargill’s first feed mills to attain BAP certification. The only other BAP-certified feed mills in Central and South America are located in Chile.
