Redesigned BAP Logo Unveiled As Part Of Rebranding Campaign

The Global Aquaculture Alliance is proud to announce that its industry-leading third-party aquaculture certification program, Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP), has a new look. On July 25, GAA unveiled a redesigned BAP logo as part of a rebranding campaign that will officially roll out in October 2019. Since its inception in 2002, BAP has evolved and grown tremendously, and the rebranding campaign acknowledges the program’s journey from an industry-facing solution to a publicly recognized brand. Hema Fresh BAP

China’s Hema Fresh Commits to Sourcing BAP Seafood

The Global Aquaculture Alliance has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Hema Fresh whereby the Chinese supermarket chain has incorporated GAA’s Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) into its sustainable seafood sourcing policy for its private label brand, Difresco. Hema Fresh, which is owned by Alibaba, has committed to sourcing BAP shrimp and pangasius and promoting the third-party certification program across its online and offline channels.
