Four-Star BAP Status For India’s Third Group

Congratulations to Avanti Feeds Limited, India’s third group to achieve four-star Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) status for shrimp or any species, the Global Aquaculture Alliance announced in late April. Four-star BAP status denotes that the processing plants, farms, hatcheries and feed mills from which a group sources are BAP certified. BAP For Chile’s First Mussel Processing Plant

Congratulations to Blue Shell S.A., Chile’s first mussel processing plant to attain Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) certification. It’s also the world’s fifth mussel processing plant to attain BAP certification; the other four are in Canada. Located in Dalcahue, Chiloé, the processing plant has an annual production capacity of about 10,000 metric tons of mussels and 1,300 metric tons of clams. The company’s mussel products are marketed in numerous South American, North America, European, African and Asian countries. India’s Second Company Attains Four-Star BAP Status

Suryamitra Exim (P) Ltd., in conjunction with National Fish & Seafood (NFS), is India’s second group to achieve four-star Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) status for shrimp or any species, the Global Aquaculture Alliance announced in mid-April. Four-star BAP status denotes that the processing plants, farms, hatcheries and feed mills from which a group sources are BAP certified. It’s the highest such achievement in the BAP program. Four-Star BAP Group Is First For India

Penver Products Ltd., in conjunction with National Fish & Seafood (NFS), is India’s first group to achieve four-star Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) status for shrimp or any species, the Global Aquaculture Alliance announced in early April. Four-star BAP status denotes that the processing plants, farms, hatcheries and feed mills from which a group sources are BAP certified. It’s the highest such achievement in the BAP program. There are now a total of 21 four-star BAP groups, 18 producing shrimp and three producing salmon.
