October, 2014 The Global Aquaculture Alliance, IFFO, Lyons Seafoods Co. and Wm Morrison Supermarkets on Oct. 10, 2014, collectively agreed to a position statement addressing the social concerns related to aquafeed production. June 2014 Add Long John Silver’s to the growing list of retailers and foodservice operators worldwide that are Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) market endorsers. Long John Silver’s has announced that it will be adopting BAP certification as part of its sustainable seafood procurement policy. The U.S. restaurant chain will work closely with the Global Aquaculture Alliance (GAA) and its suppliers to ensure that its farmed seafood, when available, is sourced from a BAP-certified facility. GAA Signs MoU With Prominent Chinese Foodservice Provider

December, 2013 The Global Aquaculture Alliance (GAA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Wuhan Lanesync Supply Chain Management Co. Ltd., in which the two organizations will work collaboratively to cross-promote the organizations’ activities and to advance responsible aquaculture. Based in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China, Wuhan Lanesync handles purchasing, distribution, logistics, marketing, processing and other activities for more than 35,000 restaurants and hotels throughout China. Best Aquaculture Practices Food Safety Facts
